Housing & Residential Project Experience
Banton was originally founded on residential and housing work, and over the past three decades has constructed custom homes, as well as condominiums, college dormitories and elderly housing facilities throughout the state. As a result, our staff and tradesmen have become accustomed to performing in unique environments, whether it be renovation of an occupied building or schedule coordination with multiple parties. Through this work we have also forged solid relationships with private homeowners, local developers, municipalities and state agencies, as well as numerous design teams and consultants involved with residential construction.
Banton Construction also has its own Restoration Division, which was formed in 2002 and has steadily grown to become a leading emergency response specialist in Connecticut. The division has successfully completed hundreds of housing and residential projects since its inception. Our staff of experienced tradesmen is on call 24 hours a day for emergency work. Banton also has a fleet of over 50 vehicles which are consistently on the road across the state and readily available at all times.
Banton stands apart from most firms in that our involvement with direct work enables us to stay current of market conditions and maintain cost and schedule control, even under extremely tight budgets and timetables. Banton has historically maintained its own forces of tradesmen and equipment and performs a large percentage of each project’s trade work in-house. By providing much of the labor with our own forces, Banton has been able to maintain excellent control over the quality, schedule and cost of each of our projects, always completing them within the time and budget restraints.
Below is a brief sampling of Banton’s key housing and residential projects:
• Sinsabaugh Heights Elderly Housing – Shelton, CT
• Seabury Retirement Home – Bloomfield, CT
• Fire Restoration & Rebuild of Private Residence – Windsor Locks, CT
• Thomas Gallaudet Hall Dormitory at Central Connecticut State University – New Britain, CT
