Safety – A Top Priority at Banton

Banton Construction Company has an excellent safety and quality control record. This is due to the policies and procedures that are in presently place as well as the strict enforcement of our firm's health and safety plan.

Banton has a strong commitment to safe working conditions and is dedicated to keeping its employees, subcontractors, customers and the general public safe during all phases of the construction process.

It is the policy of Banton Construction to conduct the operation and construction of its facilities without personal injury or property damage and to provide safe and healthy working conditions for all individuals in and around a job site.

In order to accomplish this, Banton employs a Safety Officer who directly oversees all aspects of the company's safety program. Our Safety Officer regularly performs inspections on all projects to review general and specific safety issues and provides periodic reports to upper-management.

Banton's Safety Officer is also charged with regularly updating the company's Health and Safety Policy, which serves as the guidebook for all employees. Each employee is required to be familiar with and responsible for compliance with all of the guidebook's provisions.

Banton also has a Safety Committee comprised of five employees from within the company. Each member of the committee is from a different background or trade and therefore brings a different perspective to the discussions that take place during the committee meetings. At present, the Safety Committee membership consists of a carpenter, laborer, electrical project manager, project engineer and project manager.

Banton provides training to all employees in all aspects of construction safety, including but not limited to fall protection, site safety, lead awareness, excavation procedures, electrical safety and general housekeeping. From the first day of employment, Banton's new employees receive a safety orientation. This is a chance for the employee to meet Banton's safety personnel and learn what the company expects from them with respect to working safely.

In addition, Banton regularly offers its employees various training seminars on tools and equipment where the latest methods of safety and operation are rigorously outlined.

The Banton team realizes that each project requires a variety of health, safety and quality control related plans to establish a safe working environment. Our project team views these plans as critical to the overall project given they establish protocol for a safe working environment.
